Before founding Hallmark in 1992, Ron spent 14 years in the MDF industry. Having identified an opportunity in the door industry, he spent hours agonising over whether to pull the trigger. Turns out it wasn’t the wrong call.
Always on the lookout for the next big thing, Ron’s one of those guys who has countless light bulb moments, which is probably why he’s known around the office as the Ideas Man. But his skills go beyond creative thinking. With an innate ability to identify risks and spot opportunities, Ron brings his industry experience and excellent technical ability to every area of the business, be it management, sales, strategy or product development.
Grateful to be surrounded by so many vibrant, passionate people, Ron gets excited when he sees the next generation managing Hallmark with real progress. And with energy levels belying his age, you can find him out biking in his spare time. That’s if he hasn’t become side tracked along the way with some native bush walk he hasn’t yet explored.
